Competition cars were fitted with special Borrani wire wheels, shod with Dunlop's latest racing tires. With new bodywork, it was the first Ferrari to not be offered with wire wheels. The dual camshafts also allowed the valves to be aligned perpendicular to the camshaft instead of offset as in SOHC engines.
